Hi everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to update you on what I’ve been up to over the past month.

I’m currently enjoying a well-deserved break from school, and it’s been a fantastic opportunity to recharge and dive into some exciting activities. Here’s a glimpse into what I’ve been up to:

  1. School Adventures: This past term, I’ve been taking three fascinating classes: Business Math, Microeconomics, and Communication.
    • Business Math: It’s been great updating my algebra skills. I had to put in some effort to remember how to rearrange equations, but it’s been rewarding. I also finally understood the practical uses of cross-multiplication, which is a welcome change from just learning the theory.
    • Microeconomics: This class has been incredibly helpful. It motivated me to introduce more demand into my business. Before, I focused solely on supply, but balancing both has increased my effectiveness significantly.
    • Communication: I’ve enjoyed working with the class and learning about others’ perspectives. At NAIT, there are a large number of Punjabi students, especially in the CAT building. I’ve learned some phrases in Punjabi, and my favorite is “Sat Sri Akal.”
  2. Club Initiatives: I’ve started a small club with some of the people I met in my classes. Lukas Byer is my VP Finance, and Gunisha Arora is my VP Operations. We will be hosting events at the school to help others reach their business goals. Our project, Elevate @ NAIT, is gaining momentum and I’m excited to see where it takes us.
  3. Travel and Exploration: Soon, I will be going to Puerto Rico with the Enactus club. I joined their general meeting last December, and by luck, they were planning a trip to one of the places on my list! Puerto Rico is one of the few places in the world with exceptionally clean air. I look forward to visiting and learning more about the people who live there.
  4. Volunteering: I’ve been volunteering at the Glenrose Hospital, which has been a rewarding experience. I even had the chance to reconnect with a cousin of mine, Mohit Sharma, during my time there.
  5. Honing Existing Skills: While I haven’t picked up any new skills recently, I’ve been focusing on honing my existing ones, making sure to continuously improve and grow.
  6. Personal Projects: I’ve been working on Elevate @ NAIT, the club, and also on my website, alexdavidsherman.online, which has been both challenging and exciting. It’s been a great way to apply what I’ve learned and push my creativity to new heights.
  7. Relaxation and Recharging: Of course, I’ve also taken some time to relax and recharge. Whether it’s reading a good book, spending time with friends and family, or simply enjoying some downtime, it’s been a perfect balance.

Thank you for taking the time to read my update. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with all of you soon and hearing about what’s been happening in your lives.

Best regards, Alex David Sherman
